Description

Acres Area of the feature in the units of Acre.
Combined API Code Concatenated API number from State API and County FIPS.
Combined FIPS Code Concatenated FIPS number from State FIPS and County FIPS.
County Name of the County.
County FIPS Code Designated FIPS codes of County.
Date Modified (by the source) Date of the source, where the data was derived.
Date Modified by USLandGrid The latest date of data manipulation by USLandGrid.
Lot Number A subdivision of a section, which is normally described by a lot number — for example, lot 5.  A government lot may be regular or irregular in shape and its acreage varies from that of regular section subdivisions.
Meridian Number Meridian is a north-south line. Each principal meridian has a base line that runs east and west through it. Land is described as being east or west of the principal meridian, and north or south of the range line associated with that meridian.
Object ID Unique Feature Number.
Quarter A subdivision of a section, randomly measuring a half-mile square (160 acres).
Quarter Quarter A subdivision of a quarter section, randomly measuring a quarter-mile square (40 acres).
Range The range number indicates east or west position from a longitudinal meridian.
Range Direction The bearing direction of Range lines, which is either East or West.
Region The geographical region of the State in USA.
Section A subdivision of a Public Land Survey Township, measuring one mile square (640 acres).  Each township has 36 sections.
Section ID Identical number to represent Section feature; which is concatenation of State Code, Meridian, Township, TownshipDirection, Range, RangeDirection, and Section number ; for example KS06T0200S0120E016.
Source Name of the Source, where the data analysis and manipulation done - USLandGrid.
State Name of the State.
State API Code API number is a "unique, permanent, numeric identifier" assigned to each state; API Stands for American Petroleum Institute.
State FIPS Code Numeric and two-letter alphabetic codes defined in U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard Publication.
Township The largest subdivision of land in the Public Land Survey System, measuring six miles square.  Public Land Survey System Townships do not correspond to political townships.  Public Land Survey Townships are named by the township and range numbering system.  Each township has a township number, which indicates its north-south position of the base line, and a range number, which indicates its east-west position of the meridian.
Township Direction The bearing direction of Township lines, which is either North or South.
Township ID Identical number to represent Township feature; which is concatenation of State Code, Meridian, Township, TownshipDirection, Range, and RangeDirection ; for example KS06T0200S0120E.
Township Label Simplified field to represent Identical Township data; which is the concatenation of Township, TownshipDirection, Range, RangeDirection added with "T" before Township, and "R" before Range.
Abstract Label Label to assign Abstract numbers,. Prefixed  "A-" with Abstract number.
Abstract Number Detailed subdivision of Texas Land Survey, an assigned perpetuity number.

Block Label Label to assign Block numbers,. Prefixed  "BLK - " with Abstract number.
Block Number Blocks (groups of joined or non-joined subdivided surveyed land) are not restricted to rectangles or squares but based on survey layouts and individual property bounds. Original block lines were drawn before any official boundaries were created.

Section Number Sections in the Texas Land Survey System do not include a Range like the PLSS. The choice of section numbers are between 1 and 9999 and can also include fractions.
